Trendiest Rooftops Bars in Savannah
So I’m lucky enough to live here, but if you’re like one of the like 654,976,162 bachelorette parties making your way to Savannah anytime soon, a rooftop bar is essential stop. Swing by any of my below listed trendiest rooftops bars in Savannah and let me know your favorites. You may just run into me at one of them. Cheers!
1. Peregrin – Perry Lane Hotel

This is my favorite view of the city. Located on top of the gorgeous Perry Lane Hotel (Marriott), this is the perfect pre dinner cocktail spot before dinner downstairs at Emporium. While you’re down there, get the cheese plate. Did I mention you are jusstttt a stone throw away from Mcdonough’s for karaoke?
2. Top Deck – Cotton Sail Hotel

Top Deck boasts fantastic sunset views on the water. If you’ve never watched a cargo ship sail past you, it’s AMAZING how big they actually are. The nautical theme is perfect for summer night out. (Hilton Hotel) I am guilty of partaking a little too aggressively in the $3 still or sparkling rosé special.
3. The Grove

Three stories with multiple bars and atmospheres, The Grove is a great place to have a meal, watch the game or get some sun and sip on cocktails. Make sure to try their Honey Drizzle Fries, and if you’ve got a group, the Grand Mule is a friggin’ 192 OUNCES of slurp to share. It gets busy on weekends – make reservations if you’re going for brunch!
4. Rocks on the Roof – The Grand Bohemian Hotel

The Grand Bohemian (Marriott) is actually right next to the Cotton Sail / Top Deck, so this is perfect if you are hopping around and staying close to River Street! Happy Hours are Monday – Wednesday nights starting at 4pm, and Live Music on Friday & Saturday. The Truffle Fries are bomb.
5. The Lost Square – The Alida Hotel

Everything to me about the Alida is chic. If I were to design a bachelorette pad that only I lived in I’m pretty sure it would look super similar to the look and feel of this hotel. The Lost Square rooftop bar boasts a gorgeous fireplace and charming atmosphere – and not to mention a great view of the river. This is a perfect date night option, or spot for a small girl gang. Check out their Sunset Hour menu, available Monday – Thursday from 6-8pm.
6.The Rooftop – Drayton Hotel

Open until 2am on Fridays & Saturdays & right downtown, I get MAJOR beach vibes up here! Check out the rooftop bites and sips. The hotel restaurant downstairs St. Neo’s Brasserie has both brunch and dinner options, and a coffee bar if you need something a little quicker on the go.
8. The Perch – Local 11Ten

With yummy food right downstairs at local 11ten, this spot is a little outside of the heart of downtown. Their rooftop bar is cozy and intimate, perfect for a night out with your s/o. Be sure to be there for Happy Hour 5:30-6:30pm!
9. Fitzroy

The restaurant is an Australian style gastropub with a brunch & dinner menu. While you are waiting for your table (I’d recommend making a reservation), pop upstairs for some excellent people watching.
10. Public Kitchen & Bar

Now if you’ve made your way to Public Kitchen & Bar, it’s because you know you’re about to eat something AWESOME alongside a fabulous bottle of sauvignon blanc with your girls. While the upstairs bar is a little understated, I can promise the food is NOT.
11. Churchill’s Pub

Churchill’s Pub has a bit going on! Downstairs in their basement you will find Winston’s Wine Cellar, and upstairs adjacent to their rooftop terrace you will find 10 downing, another event space perfect for a smaller size wedding or rehearsal dinner. The restaurant food definitely focuses on fare from “across the pond.” You’ll definitely want to order a second round of fries (maybe I should have made this post top rooftop bar fry recommendations in Savannah?) This rooftop terrace is a great spot for those picture-perfect memories.
12. Bar Julian – Thompson Hotel

One of the new kids on the block; The Thompson Hotel has Savannah’s tallest rooftop bar – Bar Julian! Brunch with a view is fabulous, you should definitely pencil this in your next available Sunday morning. Open 7 days a week, Bar Julian is 21+ after 8pm.
13. Electric Moon – JW Marriott Plant Riverside

This is a perfectly playful atmosphere and a bachelorette party MUST! Make sure to get there a little earlier on busy nights due to the inevitable line to get in & don’t forget your ID, this bar is 21+ after 6pm. Make sure you take the slide on down to the turf with the fun twirly chairs or a game of cornhole after grabbing your cocktail.
14. Myrtle & Rose – JW Marriott Riverside

Where Electric Moon shines as ‘playful’, Myrtle & Rose takes the cake as the more ‘elegant’ of the two rooftop tops the JW has to offer. Reservations are encouraged for their Sunday Jazz Brunch where you and your girls can get lost in the expansive cocktail and wine options. Myrtle & Rose is a 21+ spot!

Happy bar hopping!
Nicole
