“Something’s Brewing” October Pregnancy Announcement
Happy spooky season people!
As I am now 30 weeks along in my pregnancy (WHAT), I wanted to do something a little different for my announcement photos. I loved the idea of playing into the Halloween theme “Something’s Brewing” and being able to reuse these photos annually on my mantle or scattered throughout the house as part of the decor. I am absolutely obsessed with how these turned out.

I live in Savannah, GA which is obviously one of the most haunted and spookiest spots in the county, so of course, my kick-ass photographer had the perfect spot in mind for this pregnancy announcement shoot. Just 5 minutes away from downtown Savannah, this Old Dairy Farm had beautiful wild greenery and the creepiest-looking tree perfect for this.

I actually got my inspiration for this shoot from a cardboard cutout of a witch I saw somewhere on the internet (it may have even been a cake topper). I had never seen it done in person, and figured we’d give it a go!

The curly creepy-looking witch hat to me was essential; I ended up finding this one on Amazon. I have zero ideas where the spidery robe is from – I’ve had this for YEARS, and my black stretchy dress I ordered on Lulu’s as my bump tracking dress originally… I’ve yet to do one showing my bump growth. Oh well.

What’re your thoughts? Have fun with the pregnancy announcement and maternity shoots and shake it up or keep it sweet & traditional? I’m a sucker for holidays and embrace seasons changing to the max. Less than 2.5 months to go until we meet little man!
